I GREW UP IN

Suburbia in the 70’s and 80’s. Walking to school, solo tennis against brick walls, TV sessions watching the Goodies, day long beach trips down the Great Ocean Road, spiral perms and Dolly magazines.

MY LIFE NOW IN 5 WORDS

Busy, delicious, stretching, varied and fortunate.

WHAT BRINGS ME JOY

Sunny autumn walks with my dog followed by eggs on toast.

MY WORKSPACE IN 3 WORDS

Dynamic, evolving, delightful.

IN THE STUDIO I LISTEN TO

At work - whatever easy going playlist is on the background (I’m not in charge!). At home, when I’m in charge, depending on mood – Nick Cave, Olafur Arnalds or This American Life.

3 WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE AUSTRALIAN ART SCENE

Exciting, diverse, underfunded.

THE MOVIE THAT CHANGED MY LIFE

The movie that comes to mind is ‘Calamity Jane’ with Doris Day. Watched at peak pre- puberty, a distraction from the big feelings of this time. I wonder if it would have the same effect now?

MY TOP 3 DINNER GUESTS

Dan Hunter (to cook), Nick Cave (to charm and entertain), friend Corie to fan girl the former with.

THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE SOMEONE HAS GIVEN ME

Don’t overthink it (it, being these very questions).

MY BEST PIECE OF ADVICE TO UP-AND-COMING ARTISTS AND CREATIVES

Find your ‘thing’, be both bold and playful and ultimately, work hard. Connect with other artists, find a forum to show your work – talk to a Gallerist we are very friendly.
