Product Details

This lightweight backpack has been crafted using sturdy denim and leather trimmings. A classic style, it features a buckle fastening, a folded zippered opening and a roomy interior. The adjustable back straps have designed with extra for added comfort. The vegetable tanned leather is dyed then washed which exposes the natural grain and characters of each hide. Due to this handcrafted process, each backpack will have slight variations in the finish making each piece unique.

Material & Makers Notes

These leather pieces were made by family owned and operated business Punihani International. They were founded in 1985 and are located in Delhi, India. They specialise in making leather goods, however, do have capabilities to work with many other materials, which is a unique quality.

They are members of BSCI and Sedex and have a corporate social responsibility program in place. They arrange charity programs with World Vision and provide funding for education of children, amongst other things. Onsite, they harvest rainwater and use renewable energy.

Care Instructions

Denim/Semi Vegetable Tanned Leather

Each hide with vary in finish. The vegetable tanned leather is washed which exposes the natural grain and variations in each hide.

To maintain the beauty of your ELK bag we recommend protective sprays to treat the product, which will increase its longevity. Do not put pieces on the ground or rub against abrasive surfaces.

Colour may transfer, please take care with light coloured items such as furniture and clothing. If required, spot clean with cold water and mild soap on a clean cloth. Thoroughly test in an inconspicuous area prior to stain removal.
