Description

A delightful picture book that celebrates empathy, compassion and the power of the imagination.

You Might Find Yourself follows a small person’s journey as they navigate the world through their imagination. This charming and lovingly handcrafted picture book invites readers to examine notions of resilience and collaboration, while on the winding path that is life.

From eating green beans with a king and a queen to playing a hologram guitar from the future, You Might Find Yourself encourages an exploration of empathy and compassion. In weird and wonderful ways, Tai Snaith unleashes the power of our imagination, and on a journey full of possibilities, all you need to do is imagine where you might find yourself.

About the Author

Tai Snaith is a Melbourne artist, curator and writer. She has written and illustrated five picture books to date, all published by Thames & Hudson. Her broader art practice saw her launch the podcast 'A World of One's Own' in late 2017, which featured Tai in conversation with women and non-binary artists. Originally commissioned as a special project for the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), the second season was funded by the Australia Council for the Arts in 2018. Tai has exhibited widely in both artist-run and commercial spaces since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2002. She has been awarded the Australia Council for the Arts Tokyo studio residency and numerous state and federal project grants. Tai's artwork is held in both private and public collections, including the NGA Works on Paper collection, Banyule City collection and Artbank. She has recently completed a 30-metre-long commissioned artwork as part of the major redevelopment of the State Library of Victoria.
