The Cass Dress is a simple silhouette which makes layering a breeze. This knee length style features a neat fit through the body, long sleeves, pockets in the side seam and has a fun, wide ruffle detail around the hem which is gathered into a dropped waist seam. This dress is a classic and easy to wear shape which is fun to style and layer alongside other textural pieces or to wear as a standalone, statement piece.

60% TENCEL™ Lyocell 40% ECOVERO™ Viscose

This textured fabric has a soft drape, with a lightweight finish.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ and TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are derived from sustainable wood and pulp, coming from certified and controlled sources.

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres have gained a commendable reputation for their environmentally responsible, closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibres with high resource efficiency and low environmental impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001) as meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose. According to Higg MSI™ tools, CO2 emissions and fossil resource use are approximately half that of the industry average.

A special manufacturing system enables LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres and TENCEL™ Lyocell to be identified in the final product, even after long textile processing and conversion steps through the value chain.

The fibres used in this blend are renewable and biodegradable.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe and compliant.

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits.

Size and Fit

This dress has a neat fit through the sleeve and body with a wide ruffle around the drop waist hem. Fitting true to size, the main fit measurements to check are across the shoulder due to the set in sleeve, bust and in the hip. We recommend taking your usual size.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
