STORE MANAGER

We are looking to welcome a talented Store Manager, passionate about our brand and values, to join our retail team this year. You will be passionate and enthusiastic about our product, values and delivering exceptional service to our very loyal customer base in addition to being highly efficient in managing the day to day operations of our beloved retail spaces!

  • 2 Store Manager roles available on a fixed term basis ranging between 9-18 months
  • Full Time hours ranging between 30-35 hours / 4-5 days per week, weekend work (including Saturdays) essential
  • Inner City and Preston locations available
  • Flexibility to work in Albert Park highly desirable

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional service to each and every one of our customers
  • Outfitting, upselling and onselling our beautiful, timeless product range by engaging customers with features, benefits and sustainability features
  • Own the smooth and efficient day to day operation of your retail store to ensure an exceptional in store experience
  • Ensuring all operations are effective, productive and in line with expectations
  • Critically analyse your business to ensure commercial outcomes are optimised (expenses are effectively managed, wages are in line with sales, and products are well merchandised)
  • Effectively manage a small team including interviewing, training, rostering, timesheet management and optimising the performance of your team
  • Living and breathing ELK as a true brand ambassador

You will come well equipped with:

  • Experience managing or leading a team within a retail (or similar) environment essential
  • Proven experience overseeing the effective and profitable daily operations of a retail store ensuring optimum efficiency, productivity, and performance to budgets
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a natural flair for making genuine connections with others
  • Ability to excel working in a team environment, nurturing and supporting those around you

CHRISTMAS CASUAL RETAIL ASSISTANTS

We are looking for some casual Retail Sales Assistants, passionate about our brand and values, to join our retail team this Christmas. You will be passionate and enthusiastic about our product, values and delivering exceptional service to our very loyal customer base throughout Christmas and into the New Year!

  • Casual roles available, with immediate start
  • Weekend work (Saturdays and Sundays) essential
  • Availability throughout December and January essential
  • Flexibility to work across our 3 retail locations in Preston, Melbourne City and Albert Park highly desirable

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional service to each and every one of our customers
  • Outfitting, upselling and onselling our beautiful, timeless product range to our customers
  • Regularly discussing the features, benefits and sustainability features of our product range
  • Effectively processing transactions (from purchases, through to gift vouchers and returns)
  • Maintaining an exceptional in store environment including cleaning, restocking, pricing and visual merchandising
  • Living and breathing ELK as a true brand ambassador

You will come well equipped with:

  • Experience working in a retail store environment
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
  • A natural flair for making genuine connections with others
  • Ability to excel working in a team environment where you love nothing more than supporting those around you

ELK, a pioneer of independent Australian design was founded by husband and wife duo Marnie Goding and Adam Koniaras in 2004 in Melbourne, Australia. Founded on a belief in creativity, innovative design and an authentic approach where people are at the heart of every decision.
