Victorian Wholesale Sales Representative - 12 Month Parental Leave Contract
This is a full time 12-month parental leave temporary contract at ELK. This role ensures the successful and smooth operation of ELK’s wholesale accounts in Victoria. This role supports and services all existing wholesale accounts and actively seeks new opportunities ultimately ensuring ELK’s high standards are met, customers are serviced and sales targets are met/exceeded.

Key responsibilities include but not exclusive to:
Brand representation: for many customers, you may be the only or the most regular contact they have with our brand. You must present yourself as a brand ambassador and should maintain a high level of professionalism and appearance ensuring you keep an open, friendly demeanour.
Sales: To take sales orders by servicing wholesale customers throughout your territory. This includes calling them on a regular basis and visiting them in line with an established call schedule, monitoring their sales and actively working with them and the ELK Head Office team to increase their representation of ELK’s product through marketing and merchandising initiatives. These initiatives will be developed and implemented by management and you will be required to assist in their implementation. You will be required to travel to regional areas and stay overnight as part of this role.
Stockists: To continue to look for new opportunities in areas where improvement is needed, accounts need replacing or there is insufficient representation. You must research and follow up with enquiries in a timely manner. Whilst visiting stockists you may need to offer assistance in ensuring that all ELK products are displayed well to best reflect the brand. You will also be required to deal with any issues that arise with stockists with the support of the Head Office team.
Pre showings: Prior to the commencement of each season’s sales period you will be required to organise a showing schedule, contact all accounts and book them in for showings. Ensure customers who are unable to attend showings receive new season catalogues, sales information and other necessary communication when required. Ensure their orders are placed and they are serviced to the highest standard.
Product information: You are required to learn everything you need to about all of ELK’s SKUs. You must learn about materials, manufacturing processes, fits, stock availability and all other relevant details in order to clearly and confidently answer customer enquiries and carry out the sales process.
Communication, administration & reporting: It is imperative you are constantly providing information to ELK’s Head Office with any store changes, product and design feedback etc. You are required to submit a weekly call sheet in preparation for weekly Monday meetings in the Head Office. Prior to visiting each customer, you are to familiarise yourself with their buying behaviour through reporting.
Special events and store promotions: you are required to assist with set up, coordination and running of any special events such as pre showings, regional information/training nights, VIP nights or store events.

• Current unrestricted driver’s license is essential as you will be driving your own vehicle to visit your territory.
Period of employment: Your employment will commence on 21/01/19 and conclude on the Expiry Date. This is a temporary position and the employee on maternity leave who you are replacing has the right under the Fair Work Act 2009 to return to their original position at the end of their leave, or earlier in certain circumstances.

Permanent Part-Time Client Services Representative (Returns)
Elk are looking for a permanent part-time Client Services Representative (Returns) to join our team in Preston. You will be working within the team that looks after our wholesale customers, sales agents, online and retail customers on the phone and via email.
Elk’s outstanding customer service is part of our brand identity; nothing is too much trouble for our customers. This role ensures that all customers’ enquiries are handled with the signature Elk high standard.
- Answering client phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
- Resolving client queries and issues to achieve the best outcome.
- Raising Return Authorities (RA’s) for enquiries made by phone and email, providing all necessary detail to ensure that accurate return records are maintained.
- Informing the client of the repairs/returns process and giving an indication of the time frame.
- Liaising with our warehouse, agents and external suppliers.
- You are required to learn everything you need to about all of Elk’s SKUs. You need to make sure you learn about materials, manufacturing processes, fits, stock availability and all other relevant details in order to clearly and confidently answer client enquiries.
- Maintain communication with the Elk design team, repair and returns coordinator and production coordinator with regard to customer insights and suggestions on recurring issues with returned Elk goods.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
- Ability to take direction, provide support, troubleshoot and assist where instructed.
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
