About The Role

GRAPHIC DESIGNER - PART TIME

About The Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to create beautiful and brand centric material that artfully portrays the ELK Brand aesthetic to the media and consumers ensuring the ultimate brand experience.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • In partnership with the Marketing team, and with creative direction from the Creative Director, develop day-to-day creative collateral for required brand content utilising the seasonal photography and seasonal style guide.

  • Ensure all content created is in-line with the ELK aesthetic and brand values.

  • Assist in designing digital content requirements including social media content, blogs, EDM’s, ad sets, website assets.

  • Proactively suggest and develop new and innovative ways to present digital content. E.g., creative use of animation, exploring new trends and innovative digital ideas.

  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practice, including software and user experience.

  • Work across print collateral including store signage and merchandising, packaging, and publications a bonus.

  • Assist with the filing and naming of imagery from ecommerce shoots

Who Are You?

You are a perfect match with:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or related field (desired)

  • Experience utilising design software including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Premier Pro, InDesign and Illustrator (Shopify a bonus) will ensure you hit the ground running

  • Reputation and folio that demonstrates your capability of creating impressive and on brand digital graphic content

  • Photographic retouching ability

  • Typography including headline treatments

  • Competence with working across various social media and marketing tools including (Facebook, Instagram, Klaviyo, Pinterest, Twitter, E-commerce CMS)

  • Multimedia skill base and willingness to proactively develop skills in new media technologies

  • Well developed communication, time management and organisational skills

  • Ability to pivot and work flexibly, responding to business requirements and market demands

  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy

  • Exposure to Print highly regarded

SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING ASSISTANT - FULL TIME

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and effervescent Social Media Assistant to take our ELK social media presence to all new heights!

The primary purpose of the role is to manage and execute ELK's presence on all social media sites and related platforms. Working closely with our Marketing and on-line team, the Social Media Assistant is central to supporting a range of strategic, scheduled and ad hoc marketing and brand awareness initiatives spread across the channel encompassing online, social, retail and wholesale.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Daily activation of on-brand and tailored communication for marketing activities and campaigns via digital and traditional channels.

  • Coordinating and taking lead on essential requirements for social, e-commerce and PR initiatives.

  • Execute end to end prep and planning for promotions, media events, call outs, competitions, campaigns and the like.

  • Maintain collaborative and supportive working relationships with ELK Sales/Wholesale/Planning/Online and Retail teams and attending to and 'anticipating' requests for support.

  • Working collaboratively and creatively with Graphic Design and Marketing/Content leaders.

  • Staying at the forefront of industry changes and actively making commercially sound recommendations for process improvement.

  • Increasing engagement, online traffic through the delivery of brand enhancing content that maximises sales and brand equity.

This is a full time, hybrid role based in our Preston office in Melbourne.

DESIGNER - SUSTAINABLE FASHION

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced, creative, innovative and self motivated Designer to bring timeless, design led, inspirational and sustainable apparel & accessories collections to market that are loved and embraced by all our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Closely partner with planning & sustainability teams to design, drive and develop 2 beautiful commercial seasonal collections per annum in line with the vision & inspiration articulated by the Head of Creative
  • Compile mood boards, sketches, colour palettes, fabrications and trend forecasting
  • Confidently utilise software to sketch garments true to form, clearly depicting the product, specifications and construction details before handover to production team
  • In collaboration with the production team, own the development process, including management to critical path timelines, maintenance of ‘single source of truth’ product data within our PLM (WFX) and support fitting samples
  • Embrace new technology into the design workflow, sharing your knowledge and expertise with the broader team to continually improve workflow

  • Continually evaluate and refine the design process to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other external partners

  • Nurture, support & develop a team of 3 including 2 Design Assistants (Accessories + Apparel) and a Graphic Designer, Prints

  • Foster a collaborative, supportive, and creative team culture that encourages innovation and growth

What We’ll Love About You

You have a love of fashion and have a positive, proactive, solutions focussed mindset.  You come equipped with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar, fashion apparel design role, with the ability to embrace new technology (3D design a bonus!) and a solid understanding of garment construction, sustainable fabrications & circular design.

You take a great deal of pride in your ability to operate with a high degree of organisation, speed, attention to detail and time management in line with the design calendar.  You’re tech savvy, you embrace & immerse yourself in new technology, and know Adobe Illustrator like the back of your hand.
