The Banja Dress is a textured, short dress that contains environmentally responsible ECOVERO™ viscose, in a flattering, swing A-line silhouette. The sleeveless, semi-sheer style includes a soft jersey slip and a rouleau belt to cinch in at the waist for a more fitted shape. This easy-wearing style is a great option for warm weather and can also be styled over jeans or leggings for a layered alternative.

Material

100% ECOVERO™ Viscose

This textured fabric has a soft, sheer base with a thin velvety stripe that runs throughout.

Contains 100% LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibres, derived from sustainable wood and pulp, coming from certifed and controlled sources.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001) as meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose. According to Higg MSI™ tools, CO2 emissions and fossil resource use are approximately half that of the industry average.

A special manufacturing system enables LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres to be identified in the final product, even after long textile processing and conversion steps through the value chain.

The fibres used in this fabric are renewable and biodegradable.

Maker

These garments were made by Fluid Connection who were established in 2006. They have been making garments for us since 2016 and we visit the operation in Hangzhou, China at least twice a year. The factory that makes our products is a relatively small operation but quite modern with automated systems for efficiency and quality. They are actively working with us on ways to improve the sustainable profiles of our products, including the core fabrics, packaging and trims.

The factory is a member of Sedex and undergoes regular social compliance audits.
