Material & Makers Notes
Tritan Leather Works was founded in 1997 and is located in Chennai, India. They are members of Sedex and this family owned factory is impressive for their reporting, planning, structure and commitment to constantly strive to improve the living standards of all their employees. They do this by providing exceptional standards over and above the minimum requirements.
"We educate all our employees on health, hygiene, financial literacy and legal rights. Special attention is paid to women and their socio-economic issues as well as their health issues. We promote gender equality - within and without our company by providing avenues for redress, including a sexual harassment committee, legal support and liaison with the government agencies that exist, including the courts and the police. We take every opportunity to teach our workforce to help themselves and provide moral, financial and legal support wherever necessary" - Managing Director.
They utilise specialised tanning techniques using predominantly vegetable or semi vegetable dyes to create what has become a signature Elk look. The finishes are natural, and colours and hues are inspired by nature.

Care Instructions
Vegetable Tanned Leather
Each hide will vary in finish. The vegetable tanned leather is washed which exposes the natural grain and variations in each hide.
To maintain the beauty of your ELK wallet we recommend protective sprays and using a good quality leather conditioner to treat the product, which will increase its longevity. Do not put leather pieces on the ground or rub against abrasive surfaces. Leather is a natural material and will wear with age and use.
