This versatile jacket features an in-house print Inspired by the Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson’s projection series, and is a simple way to bring colour and print to an outfit. Designed to be worn belted, the fabric waist tie can be used to add shape to your look. Subtle side splits at the side hems and loose batwing sleeves add to the easy fit. Wear over jeans and a classic tee or pair with A-line pants.

Material

100% French Linen

This garment has been crafted from 100% French Linen, a natural fibre from flax grown in the northern regions of France. Linen is a light, breathable fabric that is durable and strong. It wrinkles easily which is part of its appeal, it is easy to care for and becomes softer with age and wear.

Flax is a highly productive crop requiring minimal water, herbicides or pesticides to grow, making it a better environmental choice than many other natural fibres, such as conventionally grown cotton.

Linen is a renewable and biodegradable fibre.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe and compliant.

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits. 

Size and Fit

The jacket is one size and has been designed to fit slightly oversized on the top before relaxing the fit from the waist to the hem. We have taken cues from Japanese Kimono styles with a sleeve that finishes just below the elbow. Even though it is a one size fits many, the key fit points to check for fit are around the sleeve opening and the length.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
