Our Atea Dress is an everyday style brought to life by the exaggerated gathering on its wide sleeve. Available in either olive or in our Flaese print, this regular fitting dress has folded cuff sleeve openings to keep them from rolling out as well as side seam pockets for ease of wear. The fabric has a silky touch hand feel with soft drape and a slight sheen. Wear loose, belted or as a tunic over jeans, the beauty of the Atea Dress lies in its versatility.

Material

62% ECOVERO™ Viscose 38% Viscose Rayon

This smooth, floaty fabric has a matte sheen that gives it the perfect versatility to dress up or down. Colours and prints have a vibrant finish, while the lightweight nature of the fabric provides comfort and drape.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibres are derived from sustainable wood and pulp, coming from certified and controlled sources. LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001) as meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generates up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose. According to Higg MSI™ tools, CO2 emissions and fossil resource use are approximately half that of the industry average. A special manufacturing system enables LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres to be identified in the final product, even after long textile processing and conversion steps through the value chain.

We are working with not-for-profit organisation Canopy to ensure that all our forest-based fabrics are responsibly sourced from sustainable forestry and preference those with a green shirt ranking according to the most current CanopyStyle Hot Button Report. Our partnership with Canopy includes a commitment to ensure all of our viscose products have not been sourced from ancient and endangered forests. Our traceability systems confirm the viscose fibres in this garment are from green shirt rated producers.

The fibres used in this blend are renewable and biodegradable.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe and compliant.

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits.  

Size and Fit

Designed as a regular fit with a straight shape throughout the body. The top of the armhole sits closer to the neckline so that the dramatic sleeve doesn’t make you look broad shouldered. The key fit points to check for best size are the bust, hip and the length. The dress can be easily taken up too.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
